For families abroad, relocating, or short on time
Nannies, house helps and house managers can be interviewed by video call — WhatsApp, Google Meet or Zoom — while the candidate sits in our Westlands office with her ID and file on the table. You see the person we have already verified, not a stranger on a borrowed phone.
How it works
Role, household, budget, start date. Same form as every client — it takes about six minutes.
Identity verified, referees phoned, Good Conduct certificate applied for. Usually within 24 hours.
We book a slot in your time zone. The candidate is in our office. A Frimak staff member opens the call, holds her ID to the camera, then leaves you to talk.
A relative, a neighbour, your building manager — or us, on your behalf. Contract signed by both sides first. The placement fee is payable once you have made an offer and she has accepted it.
Who this is for
You are in the UK, the US or the Gulf. Your mother in Lavington needs a caregiver or a house help. You interview and choose; we place; she reports to your mother, and you get the check-in calls.
Expat and returning families who want staff in place before the flight lands. Interview from your current city; the contract is ready when you arrive, and she starts the day you need her.
Nairobi professionals who would rather do three twenty-minute calls at lunchtime than lose a Saturday. Same shortlist, same vetting, your diary.
Where video stops
Chefs, drivers and caregivers are skill-tested in person before they are presented — a cooking trial, a road test, a care scenario at our office. For those roles the candidate can still be interviewed by video afterwards, but the practical happens here first. We will not put a driver in front of you who nobody has been driven by.
For live-in roles of any kind we advise that one person you trust meets the candidate before day one. If there is nobody in Nairobi who can, a Frimak staff member does the handover at your home and sends you a photo of the signed contract.
Questions
You can, and some clients do. We advise against it for live-in roles. Nominate one person in Nairobi to meet her before day one; if there is nobody, a Frimak staff member does the handover on your behalf.
M-Pesa, bank transfer or card. The placement fee is invoiced once you have made an offer and she has accepted it, the same as every placement. The salary is paid by you to her directly, in whatever way suits the two of you. Pricing →
Nannies, dayburgs, house helps, housekeepers and house managers — anything where the interview is the assessment. Chefs, drivers and caregivers are practically tested here first.
Yes, and most of our candidates have done it before. We brief her beforehand, so the call is about whether she is right for your household, not about the technology.
It applies in full. If she leaves or it does not work out within 3 months of her start date, we replace her at no further fee, and the replacement can also be interviewed by video.
